What You'll Own You'll be embedded in a fast-moving epilepsy program supporting surgical and clinical teams across the full care continuum: • Phase II Surgical Support: Support pre-surgical and surgical epilepsy procedures, including Phase II EEG evaluations (sEEG and grid EEG), pre-operative prep, and intraoperative electrocorticography (ECoG). • Perioperative Monitoring: Perform peri-operative individualized montage building, post-operative Phase II hook-up, and ongoing monitoring with daily troubleshooting and checks. • Mapping & SPECT Protocols: Assist the epileptologist with extra-operative bedside mapping, EEG for Wada testing, and lead and build EEG ictal SPECT protocols for adult and pediatric EMU patients. • Clinical EEG: Perform EEGs across clinical labs, inpatient units, and the emergency department. • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams, educate patients and families, assist with staff training, and ensure specialized equipment is properly maintained. • Technical Expertise: Apply basic knowledge of specialized EEG studies and adapt recording techniques to document physiologic and other potentials as needed. • Mentorship: Assist senior technologists with classroom teaching and staff training. • After-Hours Coverage: Provide after-hours support for monitoring troubleshooting and respond on-site to urgent requests following surgical procedures. Schedule & Pay This role operates on a rotating schedule to support the full care team: • 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM • 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM • 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM • 12:30 PM – 11:00 PM Pay: $25 – $38/hour, depending on experience. You’ll be performing ambulatory setups in patients’ homes, using the 10–20 International EEG system—so you already have the foundation. We’ll train you on the software and testing protocol. The setup is streamlined, utilizing an electrode cap, and each study takes approximately one hour. About the Role As an Ambulatory EEG Technologist, you’ll play a vital role in setting patients up for success — literally. You’ll travel to patient homes and physician offices to set up Ambulatory EEG studies, ensuring seamless data collection, accurate recordings, and a positive patient experience. What You’ll Be Doing Prepare and educate patients on Ambulatory EEG procedures and daily event logs. Perform accurate head measurements and apply electrodes using the International 10/20 System. Conduct photic stimulation and hyperventilation procedures as directed. Set up, test, and verify equipment functionality for video and EEG recording. Safely remove electrodes post-study, clean the patient’s scalp, and ensure no residue remains. Disinfect and prepare equipment for the next study, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and organization. Ensure all EEG data is properly recorded, stored, and transferred for review. Troubleshoot equipment or electrode issues in real time, whether in the field or remotely. Collect and review patient event records and documentation for accuracy and completeness. What We’re Looking For Graduate of an accredited EEG or PSG Technology Program, or at least 1 year of experience in neurodiagnostic technology (Ambulatory EEG, EMU, or LTM preferred). Solid understanding of data integrity and LTM equipment maintenance. Ability to identify seizure patterns, distinguish artifacts, and respond appropriately to clinical events. Current BLS/CPR certification (required). R. EEG T. credential through ABRET preferred. Must pass a background check prior to hire.
