Job Overview
The EEG Monitoring Technologist is responsible for remotely monitoring in-progress EEG studies while ensuring accurate data acquisition and proper system functionality. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues efficiently. The technologist will support both patients and onsite EEG technicians throughout the duration of each study.
Remotely monitor active EEG studies, ensuring data integrity and proper equipment performance.
Follow all established communication, documentation, and technical procedures.
Communicate with patients and/or EEG Technicians to identify and resolve technical issues; escalate unresolved issues to management when appropriate.
Manage high patient volumes and respond to patient needs quickly and professionally.
Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and all privacy/confidentiality requirements.
Collaborate with team members and report concerns related to patients or diagnostic equipment.
Accurately document and chart study-related events, including terminations, extensions, or technical interventions.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Required Skills & Competencies
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work nights, weekends, and a flexible schedule as needed.
Capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and compliance standards.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Licenses/Certifications
Current ABRET R.EEG.T. credential in good standing required.
Ability to sit for extended periods.
Repetitive use of hands and fingers.
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
Adequate hearing, vision, and manual dexterity are necessary to perform duties.
Standard office or home-office environment.
