Outpatient EEG Technologist I–III

Our client is seeking a full-time Outpatient EEG Technologist (I–III) in Charleston, SC. This is a rare opening on a close-knit outpatient team of four technologists with very little turnover. Registered technologists are preferred.

What You'll Do

• Record neurophysiologic potentials for the diagnosis and prognosis of diseases and conditions involving the nervous system
• Provide hands-on education for students during their clinical rotations
• Work independently some days at a smaller off-site pediatric clinic

What We're Looking For

EEG Technician II (non-registered), reporting to the EEG Coordinator under direct supervision:

• Graduation from a CAAHEP-accredited Electroneurodiagnostic (END) technology program; or eligible for National Board Certification; or any combination of education and experience that warrants eligibility for National Board Certification
• Must obtain EEG certification or CNIM within 2 years of employment or 1 year of board eligibility
• Current BLS required: AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA-recognized equivalent) or American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider

EEG Technologist III (registered), reporting to the EEG Coordinator under general, indirect supervision:

• Graduation from a CAAHEP-accredited END technology program or equivalent
• Registered as an EEG technologist by ABRET (required and must be maintained)
• One year of EEG Technician work experience
• Current AHA BLS or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification
