Long-Term Monitoring EEG Technologist

New Haven, CT | Epilepsy Surgery & Pediatric Monitoring Programs

Our healthcare partner is seeking an experienced, dual-credentialed EEG Technologist to perform long-term audio-visual EEG monitoring via scalp and intracranial electrodes on adult and pediatric patients in its Epilepsy Surgery and Pediatric Monitoring Programs.

What You'll Do

  • Perform continuous audio-visual EEG monitoring via scalp and/or intracranial electrodes
  • Prepare patients, equipment, and supplies before monitoring begins
  • Assist physicians performing these and similar studies as required
  • Follow established safety precautions and procedures, including proper body mechanics, to maintain a safe environment

What We're Looking For

  • R.EEG.T. National Board Certification required, plus one additional board certification (R.EP.T., R.PSG.T., CNIM, or CLTM)
  • 2–3 years as an EEG Technician performing routine and specialized EEG laboratory procedures
  • Experience with critical care and neonatal electrodiagnostic procedures
  • High school diploma or equivalent and completion of basic EEG technician training
  • Skills and knowledge required by ABRET for certification
  • Basic computer skills
