About the Role

This neuromonitoring team is dedicated to advancing patient safety and clinical excellence in every operating room. As an Intraoperative Neuromonitoring (IONM) Technologist, you’ll be an essential part of the surgical team—providing critical, real-time neurophysiologic data that helps protect the nervous system during complex procedures.

In this hospital-based role, you’ll collaborate daily with world-class surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nurses, ensuring each patient receives the highest standard of care. If you thrive in dynamic environments where precision and teamwork matter, this is the place for you.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform multimodality neurophysiologic monitoring during a variety of surgical procedures, including spinal, cranial, vascular, and peripheral nerve cases.
  • Collect, analyze, and communicate intraoperative data to support surgical decision-making in real time.
  • Apply advanced modalities such as somatosensory evoked potentials (SSEPs), motor evoked potentials (MEPs), brainstem auditory evoked responses (BAERs), and electromyography (EMG).
  • Ensure all monitoring equipment is calibrated and functions optimally prior to and during procedures.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation and adhere to hospital and departmental protocols for patient safety.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and respond to emergent surgical cases as needed.

What You Bring

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in health science; or
    • Associate’s degree with one or more neurodiagnostic registries (R. EEG T., R. EP T., R. NCS T.); or
    • Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Electro neurodiagnostic (END) program with one or more neurodiagnostic registries.
  • Certification:
    • CNIM (Certification in Neurophysiologic Intraoperative Monitoring) required.
    • Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of one year of intraoperative monitoring experience.
    • Proven competency in multimodality cases such as BAERs, complex scoliosis, carotid endarterectomy, and microvascular decompression (MVD).
  • Skills and Attributes:
    • Strong knowledge of neuroanatomy, physiology, and surgical procedures.
    • Excellent communication and teamwork skills within the surgical suite.
    • Calm under pressure and confident in making critical clinical observations.
    • Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and call rotations.
