Position Overview: The Intraoperative Neuromonitoring (IONM) Technologist Team Leader is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and management of the IONM team, with the authority and responsibility to carry-out this role with Your Team. This role involves ensuring high-quality patient care, maintaining corporate culture, and establishing company expectations. As the Team Leader, you will also be responsible for employee performance reviews, education and development of clinical expertise, managing the workflow (including work assignment, on-call schedule and time off) and retention and recruitment to optimize your Team.

 

Our team needs a clinical manager who will communicate transparently with the team about developments within the company. Our team needs a leader who is willing to check-in often with existing Managing Partners and leadership to collaborate in the creation of new processes and expectations among our team

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Corporate Culture:
    • Maintain an up-to-date employee handbook with employment-at-will-based expectations.
    • Exhibit company values, including dignity and respect for patients, colleagues, and team members.
  • Team Leadership and Management:
    • Maintain employee-facing records, including hours worked, billable hours, and productivity metrics.
    • Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual employee evaluations, provide constructive feedback and setting professional goals.
    • Encourage employees to self-direct in accordance with company policy and clinical procedures.
    • Promote a functional team "Esprit de corps aligning work/life balance and position responsibility
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Regularly review and document individual and team-wide trends.
    • Address trends with adjusted training regimens or reinforcement of existing policies.
      • Can also delegate this role to an accomplished QA specialist
  • Clinical Excellence:
    • Ensure team members are using best practices via regular communications, case audits and quality initiatives
    • Encourage utilization of continuing education opportunities
    • Provider mentorship and development of a learning environment.
    • Share new developments in IONM and clinical practices with your Team. 
  • Schedule Management
    • Overseeing and approving clinical schedule with goals to:
      • Create equity in scheduling practices
      • Encourage well balanced team with exposure to all facilities and case types
      • Identify opportunities for scheduling training opportunities when schedule allows
        • Pediatrics
        • Vascular
        • Craniotomy

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Certification in Intraoperative Neuromonitoring (CNIM) preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IONM, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.

Work Environment:

  • This position requires working in a clinical setting, including operating rooms.
  • This position desires prior experience as a Team Leader.
