Audiologist / IONM Surgical Neurophysiologist

Los Angeles, CA | Full-Time | Variable Schedule + Rotating Call

Our healthcare partner, a clinician-founded, Joint Commission-accredited IONM provider monitoring more than 40,000 patients a year, is seeking a CNIM-certified professional (Audiologist preferred) for a stationary regional position supporting multiple facilities in the Los Angeles, CA area.

Salary: $80,000 - $120,000, plus bonuses and full benefits.

What You'll Do

Work alongside neurotologists during cochlear implantation and complex skull base tumor resections requiring cranial nerve monitoring, and perform cochlear implant testing across all major manufacturers, including impedance and placement testing and NRT/NRI/ART assessment.

  • Perform preoperative patient assessments, including history review, informed consent, and monitoring plan coordination with the surgical team and interpreting physician.
  • Apply recording electrodes; set up, calibrate, and troubleshoot neuromonitoring equipment.
  • Provide continuous real-time monitoring using SSEPs, MEPs, EMG, EEG, BAEPs, and other modalities as indicated.
  • Analyze and interpret waveforms, accounting for anesthetic and pharmacological influences.
  • Communicate findings in real time to the interpreting physician and surgical team.
  • Complete post-operative technical reports, IONM logs, and billing documentation.
  • Maintain equipment following cleaning, storage, and transport protocols.
  • Participate in on-call rotation, QA projects, case audits, grand rounds, and continuing education.

What We're Looking For

  • Active CNIM certification required.
  • Au.D. degree preferred; CCC-A and state licensure preferred.
  • 2+ years of IONM experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, neuroanatomy, pathologic processes, and aseptic technique.
  • Proficiency acquiring and analyzing data across multiple IONM modalities.
  • Strong communication skills with surgeons, anesthesia, and OR staff.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Schedule & Work Environment

  • Full-time with a variable weekly schedule based on surgical caseload.
  • Rotating on-call coverage including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Local staff serving local facilities throughout the Los Angeles area, backed by a 24/7 operations support team.
  • Must be able to lift and transport equipment up to 50 lbs.
